At the little roundabout in the very centre of Thornhill on the A76 Drumlanrig Street, turn to the southwest (left if travelling north from Dumfries, or right if travelling south from Sanquhar) onto West Morton Street.  Facing you straight ahead is the old church which is now the Virginhall.
