Troqueer Church Hall, Dumfries DG2 7AS
courtesy of Google Maps
Enter Dumfries from the A75 bypass via the A76 (Lochside, Kilmarnock) roundabout (with large, A-frame pedestrian bridge). After two roundabouts, it becomes a dual carriageway again and at the T-junction (traffic lights) at the end, turn right towards Castle Douglas. Then turn immediately first left (after 50 yards or so, just beyond the Post Office) into Howgate Street (narrow one-way, acute angle coming back on yourself, NOT the more obvious road up the hill). Car parking is on-street or down Mill Road to the left. Troqueer Church Hall is set slightly back from the road on Church Street just beyond Maxwell Street with a number 24 on the wall. Note that Church Street is one-way so you cannot drive right up to the door unless you enter via St Michael's Bridge and Pleasance Avenue (sign-posted to Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura). There is parking behind the hall but it is limited so only for those with mobility problems or large instruments like percussion and double bass, please.
